Hamer Morris is a native North Carolinian and grew up in the Wilmington area. During high school, Hamer worked as a helper in a friend’s masonry company. This is where he began to take an interest in the construction industry. After high school, Hamer went on to attend the University of North Carolina on a baseball scholarship and major in business management and marketing. After college, Hamer moved to Georgetown, SC, where he started an eleven-year career in the operations department of a major electrical generating station. During his career in the power industry, Hamer decided to become a business partner in a home improvement company (Cape Fear Home Improvements, Inc.) and start a custom home building company (Bluewater Home Builders, Inc.) in Southport, NC, with a childhood friend. Hamer finally made the decision to leave the power industry and dedicate his career full time to the construction industry. In 2014, Hamer decided to take a different path in the building industry and started Morris Home Inspections, Inc. Since the incorporation of the home inspection business, Hamer has built a reputable and successful company. Hamer now serves as the President of the South Carolina Chapter of ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors). In 2017, Hamer made an executive decision to expand Morris Home Inspections, Inc. and brought on Scott Campbell as an inspector/partner in the business. Scott, who resides in and now runs the new Myrtle Beach office, has an extensive background in the home services industry.
