Anthony Chavis is an Inspector (NC and SC Residential and Commercial) with Morris Home Inspections, Inc. A Native North Carolinian growing up in the Pembroke, NC area. He began his construction career working with his father in the Drywall industry during high school. Coming from a Military family he joined the United States Marines Reserves to attend North Carolina State University. While attending North Carolina State University, Anthony joined the Army ROTC program and was deployed with 18 Airborne Corps with the 16th MP Brigade during Desert Shield/Desert Storm. After completing his degree (Textile Technology and Science) at NCSU, he began a 25-year career in Facilities, Maintenance and Project Engineering working in several states in the Southeastern United States. He held several leadership positions (Facilities Engineer, Maintenance Manager, and Project Engineer) with a multitude of industries such as Textiles, Distribution and Logistics, Injection Molding and Biomass, tasked with General maintenance, Fleet Maintenance and Capital improvements of facilities and Industrial Campuses up to 3.5 Million Sq. Ft. Along the way he completed a diploma in Facilities Engineering Management from NCSU, an MBA with project management emphasis from Mississippi State University, started his General Contracting company, Drowning Creek Contractors, LLC in 2017 (Building Classification) in NC, and began his part time residence in North Myrtle Beach (2009). After both his sons joined the military, he and his wife (Amy) move to North Myrtle Beach full time. He has a wealth of knowledge in the Construction industry and will bring his expertise to your inspection.
